Surfcoast Anglican Parish held its annual Parish Summer Fête on Saturday 7th January at St Luke's in Torquay. The weather this year was less kind, with very hot conditions keeping people away. However there was still loads of produce, toys, prizes, bric-a-brac, great BBQ'ed sausages, cakes, craftwork, an excellent morning tea in the church, plants and a great band played to keep us all entertained.
The members of the parish once again all worked together to make another memorable fête. Thank you to everyone for your hard work before and on Fête Day. Thanks also to all the members of the public who came, despite the heat, to supported us and opened their purses and wallets.
Many local businesses have generously supported our fête. Parishioners and supporters could keep these businesses in mind then considering their purchases of goods and/or services.
